The Caspian Region includes the sea’s littoral countries of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, as well as parts of Russia and Iran.  Also included are: Uzbekistan - which, although not a littoral state, is the region’s largest natural gas producer; Georgia; and Armenia, linked by the East - West transportation corridor that runs from Georgia through Armenia, Azerbaijan, across the Caspian Sea to Central Asia.
